Welcome to Constant Care Assisted Living!
Our five care homes, located across the Phoenix Metro Area, offer a unique, personalized approach to care, with attention to your particular needs and personality.
In many communities, there are hundreds of residents, more or less confining everyone to a “one-size-fits-all” style in terms of dining, activities, and even care. The Constant Care philosophy is different. Our small communities —only (NUMBER) residents—allow us to make sure that each member of our circle is given the highest standard of personalized care. From the moment a resident arrives at the door, we start learning about them: what they like to do, how they like to relax, where they prefer to spend their time, even their favorite music, books, and television (we have some serious baseball fans at the Arcadia location). Starting at day one, we treat our residents like family, helping them integrate fully into our little community.
Our staff are all highly trained and engage in constant ongoing education about elder care and memory care. Staff are also trained with feeding tubes and catheter care for those residents who need it. We have trained team members who understand the latest research about Alzheimers and dementia care; while our main focus is Alzheimers, staff are also knowledgable regarding other types of dementia, including frontotemporal, vascular, and Lewy body. We offer personal, directed, and supervisory care for residents with a variety of diagnoses. Current residents receive personalized care for ALS, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, and a variety of neurological disorders. We are a multi-age home, with many residents joining our community for assistance managing care.
But the medical training is only part of the picture. Constant Care didn’t set out to create a clinical space, but a community. We believe that care isn’t just about monitoring vital signs and medications—true care is about the whole person: body and mind. Our staff aren’t just hired for their smarts, but for their personalities as well. Each staff member has been hand-chosen to offer personal, relational care for our residents. We provide the best kind of care: efficient, cutting edge medical training combined with honest-to-goodness love for our community members. Everyone feels better when they are safe and loved; Constant Care strives to provide that safe, homelike environment for everyone who passes through our doors.
Because we are a smaller home, our activities are much more tailored to individual experiences. We offer once-a-week fitness classes with a focus on the needs of our residents. Additionally, activities like pottery painting, game days, live music, and even pet therapy find a space on our community calendar. We want activities that are meaningful for our residents, not cookie cutter offerings. Often, local high schoolers will join our community for game time, fostering new relationships between residents and the students and enriching the lives of both. Residents celebrate their birthdays with cake and community get togethers, we offer caroling during the Christmas season and celebrate Hanukkah. Every Thanksgiving, we offer a family event: delicious food and the whole community coming together, families included, to share our thanks for the year’s gifts.
Speaking of food, is anyone else tired of the pedestrian offering found a many care homes? Meals should be a time of community and gathering, so at Constant Care properties, that’s just what they are. Because our homes are small, tight-knit communities, we are able to offer a much more customized meal plan for residents. We of course focus on good nutrition—fruits and vegetables, special dietary considerations—but we also remember that meals aren’t just about meeting a person’s bodily needs. Food is a pleasure—sometimes the only pleasure to remain after a loss of independence. Constant Care aims to ensure that the pleasure of good food is available to everyone. In fact, we also offer snacks and a “happy hour”—if a resident enjoys a nice glass of wine and there are no medical reasons not to imbibe, they shouldn’t have to give that up.
We have sterling amenities:
Our own wheelchair transportation van
Private duty caregivers are at hand for residents who wish to visit the mall enjoy a lunch out, or have a night out at a play or movie
We offer in-home care as well, for those not ready to leave their spaces behind
Each of our five locations is close to local attractions. All three of our north Phoenix communities are within minutes of Banner, St. Joe’s, and Phoenix Baptist hospitals. The Scottsdale-Arcadia location is convenient to Banner and the VA Medical center.
We at Constant Care hope you’ll consider joining our community—we can’t wait to get to know you.
