Adriel Care Home: Respecting the Assisted Living Resident

Adriel Care Home in Surprise, Arizona focuses on treating residents with the respect and understanding he or she deserves. This means skillfully delivering essential activities of daily living (ADLs), carefully listening and responding to special requests, and maintaining a safe, clean, and comforting environment.

Many of our residents discover us by word of mouth. Others have personal experience with us. One resident is our former case manager/visiting nurse. Another visiting nurse who used to work with us referred her mother-in-law, who has been living here for five years.

Elegant Comfort in a Home Customized for Elder Care

Adriel Care Home is a family-operated 24-hour assisted living facility that provides the full range of assistive living eldercare services, including mild to moderate dementia. Caregivers are onsite 24 hours a day.

Our beautiful home is steps away from Surprise’s Rancho Gabriella parkland. We have five bedrooms for private and semi-private use, and four bathrooms to serve a total of seven residents. All rooms and baths are wheelchair-accessible.

Residents often gather in our living room with its widescreen TV, entertainment center, and fireplace used on chilly desert nights. It’s also where they enjoy daily activities that range from exercise and mind-stimulating games to favorite card and board games. We keep a library with large-print books and offer daily crossword puzzles, a favorite occupation for many residents.

One feature residents and families both talk about is our exceptional kitchen, where we serve three home-cooked meals daily, plus:

  • Snacks baked onsite throughout the day; our cookies are huge favorites among residents and visitors.

  • Special request meals

  • Hosted meals with residents’ families and guests for events like birthdays, anniversaries, or just because someone is here to visit!

  • We are proud of our lovely, portico-style covered patio. On pleasant days (and there are a lot of them in Arizona!), residents sit there to read, chat, or enjoy the park scenery. They can also take a stroll along a walkway.

    A Safe Environment For Seniors

We assess each resident before he or she moves to our home to determine physical, nutritional, and emotional needs. A special program for residents with dementia or memory loss includes additional supports to handle wandering and other potential vulnerabilities.

We take every precaution to ensure our residents’ safety, from medication management to night checks. The house and outdoor areas are designed with security in mind for our residents.

    • There is controlled access to the yard and home.

    • Adriel Care Home assisted living has a monitored fire alarm with sprinklers and an emergency lighting system.

    • Each room and bathroom has a call system in place for residents use to request caregiver assistance.

Our staff are Arizona-licensed caregivers who have completed rigorous training. We only select staff who are fluent in English and show exceptional compassion for seniors, particularly those in decline.

Finally, the Arizona Department of Health Services gave us a perfect survey score with no deficiencies.

In-home Access to Medical and Other Health Services

Some residents prefer to continue to see their own doctors, dentists, and other medical and health providers. We arrange and take them to appointments.

We also work with a house physician, podiatrist, and other medical staff. They provide checkups and prescribe services residents might need such as physical and occupational therapy. We arrange for these services as well.

We can also provide prescribed home health care and hospice services.

Personal Care and Activities for Assistive Living Residents

We know people feel better when they know they look good! So we have regular visits from a beautician to keep our residents looking great.

We’ve scoured the area for exceptional specialists who lead activities our residents enjoy such as arts and crafts, music, exercise. There are also events for residents with dementia.

Call us today at 623.256.6410 to schedule a visit and meet our residents!
