Lynda’s Courtyard does not want to be just a place like home. Rather, they want their residents to consider Lynda’s Courtyard as their own home. Lynda’s Courtyard is located in a residential setting with beautiful vast views of the Santa Catalina Mountains. They have 8 spacious private bedrooms surrounding a beautiful courtyard plus, a two-room Presidential Suite that is available for one or two people.

Unique to Lynda’s Courtyard, if desired, each resident is invited bring their own furniture and decorate their room as they wish! Each room has DirecTV for a wide selection of entertainment. Residents can stay in their room as much of the time as desired, but each resident is encouraged to participate in group activities, including delicious family-style meals. At Lynda’s Courtyard they also encourage family members to join their loved ones for meals.

Lynda’s Courtyard holds two fun, entertaining activities each day. The activities vary to keep the resident’s interest. They have “chair exercises”, games, Thursday afternoon tea, Ice Cream Sundae Sundays, bingo, bowling, courtyard walks and much more.

Lynda’s Courtyard is named for the owner’s mother, Lynda, who was known for her warmth and compassion. In building and operating Lynda’s Courtyard, the owners want their care and warmth at the home to reflect Lynda’s compassion and caring.

At Lynda’s Courtyard, they provide all services in a way that is comfortable and that meets the needs and preferences of each resident. They respect each resident’s individuality offering choice, independence, privacy, and dignity. In addition, they always operate in a professional, respectful and courteous manner with their residents and colleagues. And Lynda’s Courtyard is perfectly located to make sure that its residents are safe whether day or night. They are less than five miles to Carondelet St. Mary's Hospital, 6.3 miles to Banner University Medical Center and 6.8 Miles to Northwest Medical Center.

Lynda’s Courtyard hires the most caring, competent staff they can find. At Lynda’s Courtyard, they have 24-hour English speaking care providers on-site. Their care staff includes two caregivers during the day and one additional caregiver awake throughout the night making their resident to staff ratio 5:1 during the day and 10:1 at night. This sets Lynda’s Courtyard apart from larger assisted living centers that often have as many as 15 residents for each caregiver, with other assisted living homes often running at a 10:1 ratio all day.

Lynda's Courtyard care team believes in continuing education about giving quality care to seniors. The owners, Caroleen and Jeff Young have studied in Memory Care. Their view is that if they don’t evolve their care to meet the latest learnings and standards, they are not doing their job properly. While there are some very interesting developments in the technology arena to help with senior care, not all senior care innovation is technology driven. Innovation can come in more simple ways such as improving communication with residents to something as small as changing the forms used to track resident activity. Lynda’s Courtyard has their eyes open for better ways to provide residents with the best lifestyle and experience possible, every day!
