Surrounded by Amenities and Beauty

Summit Senior Living in Salt Lake City, Utah is located on the west side of the Salt Lake Valley, with so much to offer residents. The majestic mountains of Utah can be seen on the horizon, while within walking distance there are businesses that community members need and enjoy, including Walgreen’s, Mountain America, Walmart, Taco Bell and Arby’s. The convenience of these businesses encourages our residents, who are able, to run errands and manage their personal needs on their own, allowing for independence and self-care.

Our residents are taken on excursions to entertaining spots like the movies and local casinos, and for more shopping options to businesses like Target and the Dollar Store. Our memory care residents go wherever our assisted living and independent living residents go – with more supervision from our devoted and loving staff.

Our Residents Get the Best Care

No resident at Summit Senior Living goes more than 2 hours during the day without interacting with a staff member. Whether it’s a meal reminder, a quick chat during an activity or a few minutes during an exercise class, staff makes sure that everyone knows that they are being thought of and cared about. Our memory care residents have their own courtyard and onsite activities, allowing them to interact and stay active as they are able 24 hours a day. These residents live in their programming at all times if needed.

Since looking good can be a big boost in feeling good, we have two beauty salons for pampering, cuts, color and styling. One of the favorite activities among residents – men and women - is the free manicures we offer every week. It’s a small luxury that feels good, too!

We want to keep our residents healthy, flexible and mobile, so there are many options for exercising. We have classes daily, including tai chi, yoga, weight lifting, balance clinics and chair exercises. There is a gym for physical therapy as well.

So Many Things to Do Each Day

Meals are offered from 7 am to 6 pm daily with a menu that has items available all day, their way. During the traditional breakfast, lunch and dinner hours there are a selection of chef’s specials which tend to be the crowd favorites! We cater to our community’s needs at Summit Senior living by offering special diet meals as requested. Our bistro and hydration stations keep residents from ever being hungry or thirsty, whatever time of day.

Our variety of classes, lectures and entertainment has something for everyone. Arts and crafts classes are taught by professionals, and many residents flock to these classes to express their creativity. Our theater room shows popular films, and when grandkids come to visit, there are video games for them there as well. We encourage families to bring their youngest members, who always bring a smile to our residents’ faces.

We celebrate birthdays, holidays and special events with huge parties, and family members are always invited to join in the fun.

What Makes Us Unique

Here at Summit Senior Living, we provide a safety net that ensures whether a resident decline physically, mentally or financially—they will never have to move from our community unless they choose to. A common misconception that seniors need to live in a skilled nursing home. While there are extenuating circumstances, Summit Senior Living is set up to partner with therapists, home health, hospices, etc. so that the resident may age in place. If memory or finances become a concern we have a high functioning memory care neighborhood and also accept the Medicaid New Choices Waiver for seniors to transition to.

In addition to this comforting guarantee of a home for as long as they need, our residents can choose what services they want to purchase based on our unique CarePoints system. If a resident becomes ill for a brief time, their additional care will be provided without additional cost. CarePoints allow the care plans to be unique to each individual, more affordable, and more dignified by not taking away any independence from the resident.
