A Place for Everyone at Wentworth at Coventry Wentworth at Coventry Senior Living in Salt Lake City is dedicated to giving the best care and providing the most interesting and stimulating activities to its residents. With residents that range from independent living to assisted living to memory care, Wentworth at Coventry maintains busy and active calendars for each of their distinct communities. Each level of care is housed in its own building, with its own staff, schedules and level of caregiving that is needed. This allows for programs, care plans and meals that fit the needs of each resident individually, while encouraging interaction among peers. Apartment Style Living Our buildings offer a variety of living situations based on our residents’ needs and wants. From studios to 2 bedrooms, there are choices that will suit anyone’s budget, lifestyle and ability. Our apartments have 10 foot ceilings, and some have skylights that add to the bright and cheery atmosphere. Housekeeping and linen changes are provided weekly. With their own furnishings and personal items around them, residents feel right at home quickly and easily after moving in. The Best in Medical Care Wentworth at Coventry Senior Living has 3 physicians that come to our property on a weekly basis – or as needed, if our nursing staff sees a need that should be addressed. When residents move in, they fill out an application for a house physician, sharing important information that helps the physicians to manage their care effectively and efficiently. We also consult with a dietician for each resident’s needs based on information we are given by their personal doctors and make sure their meals conform to their restrictions and recommendations. Activities for Each Level of Care Our residents take an active and enthusiastic role in planning for activities and outings. Each month, there is a resident council that meets to discuss plans for restaurant outings, museum visits, shopping excursions and more. The council also is the place for our residents to express their concerns and praise for how Wentworth at Coventry is doing meeting their needs and expectations, with managers addressing each and every concern personally. The classes offered vary from independent living to assisted living to memory care, but each group has a great variety of activities to choose from. Our independent living community has a gym that is a very popular spot for residents, with massage tables, a balance beam, and daily 10 am classes run by physical therapists who lead classes in tai chi, movement and more. Our assisted living residents also have daily exercise classes to keep them limber and moving regularly. Some of the classes that our independent living residents enjoy include line dancing, bridge club, Bingo, movie nights, and religious services for Catholic and Mormon residents. They also enjoy musical entertainment and regular shopping outings to Rite Aid and other stores. In our assisted living community, many of the same types of activities are offered as in the independent living, but with a little more hands-on help and care. This community loves their crafts activities and cooking classes. Our memory care residents love our pop up nail salon, word games, and piano entertainment. Interactive word games and other memory exercises help our memory care residents stay aware and on top of things. Our “man cave, ” or TV lounge, has all of the sports channels and lots of comfortable seating for watching TV. Family Celebrations for Fun and Laughter Wentworth at Coventry is a place for enjoying life, especially with loved ones of all ages. We plan special events monthly to bring families to our property to have a good time together. Some of our most popular events include a car show and vendor fair each June, our Christmas party with Santa Claus for the little ones, our Easter egg hunt – complete with the Easter Bunny – and a resident favorite, the Halloween visit by children at local elementary schools, where residents get to see their costumes and hand out treats. We know that Wentworth at Coventry is the best choice for senior living in Salt Lake City. Come see for yourself what we have to offer. Read Less...
