Welcoming and inclusive, the people who live at The Wentworth at East Millcreek in Salt Lake City enjoy the being participants in activities, meals and celebrations surrounded by familiar faces and devoted employees of our assisted living property. Established and Experienced Care The Wentworth at East Millcreek has been part of the Salt Lake City community for over 20 years. Because we are smaller and have a history of quality care, we are able to offer a uniquely personalized level of attention to each and every one of our residents, no matter the level of assistance they may need. Our attendants are on call 24 hours a day, every day, so no one will every need to wait for the help they may need, day or night. Each resident is assessed for their specific assistance requirements, whether it be personal grooming help, medication management, or any other aid that can make their life easier and more comfortable. If medical attention is needed, physicians are available to come in to see our residents by appointment – but we also offer transportation to medical offices for those who have a personal doctor. Our van is equipped for wheelchair access, making it easy for anyone to use when needed. Upon move in, new residents are given a pendant to wear around their necks to use to call a staff member if help is needed. We monitor our residents to make sure all are safe and sound, allowing family members to breathe a little easier, assured that their loved ones are well taken care of. Our caregiving is meant to make everyone in the family’s life a little better and easier. A Day at The Wentworth at East Millcreek No one will ever be bored living at The Wentworth at East Millcreek in Salt Lake City! Our calendar is filled with fun, educational and fulfilling activities to choose from. We offer religious services for Catholic and LDS church members, as well as non-denominational services for those affiliated with other religions. There is a wine and cheese social every other week, and family is encouraged to join in the fun for these social events. One of our most popular activities is our travel club. Our staff chooses a location and then presents information, photos and, most enjoyably, food from whatever country is being virtually visited. Our residents love the adventure of learning about a new place and tasting new foods each month. Another favorite is our manicures and hand massages – our male and female residents all enjoy them. Getting out in the world is an important part of staying mentally stimulated and physically active, so we make sure to offer lots of fun and interesting excursions for our community members to choose from. Whether it’s shopping for necessities or an indulgence or two, taking a scenic drive to see the beautiful mountains and greenery that surround The Wentworth at East Millcreek, or attending a play or concert, outings are always popular. Staying connected to the city of Salt Lake is important as well, so we often attend community events and participate in charitable activities. Mealtime is a great way to socialize, and our dining room is filled with light that floods in through large windows. In between meals there are always snacks available, and plenty of beverages to keep our residents hydrated and comfortable.
